DISABLED RIDING LESSONS.
As a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA),we offer group lessons for people with physical, learning and sensory disabilities, behavioural issues, mental health problems or other additional support needs. Many of our clients are recommended to join us by medical professionals. Our main objectives are to provide a safe, fun and supportive environment to improve the rider’s conditions of life. To achieve our goals we offer therapeutic riding classes to provide achievement, enjoyment, build confidence, healthy wellbeing and to benefit mobility and coordination. We have an indoor arena, a heated viewing room for parents and carers to watch the lessons in comfort and toilet facilities suitable for disabled people.
We always carry out an initial assessment to discuss a rider's needs and have a short ride on a pony to assess their riding requirements. We then recommend the most suitable lesson to join.
There are disabled rider classes during the day and in the evening on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as a Saturday morning (subject to availability).
We are closed on a Sunday and Monday.
